How do I link my email address?
Open the menu in the game, go to Account and choose Link email (“E-mail koppelen” in Dutch). Enter your email address; you'll receive a 6-digit code. Type it in the game and your account is linked. Do this early so you never lose your island.
How do I move my island to a new phone?
You need the email address you linked on your old device. Install Hexland on the new phone, open Menu → Account → Sign in on another device and enter the same email address. Type the code you receive by email and your island is restored.
If you haven't linked an email yet, do that on your old phone first.
I lost my progress. What now?
If you ever linked an email address, sign in via Menu → Account → Sign in on another device. A guest account without a linked email is tied to that one device: if the app was deleted or you got a new phone without linking the account, we often can't recover the island. Email us anyway with your friend code or display name and we'll see what is possible.
How do I delete my account?
In the game go to Menu → Account → Delete account (“Account verwijderen”), read the warning and type the requested word to confirm. Your account and all your data are erased from the server. This cannot be undone and needs an internet connection.

How do friend codes work?
Every player has their own friend code in the form HEX-XXXX. You'll find it on the friends screen in the game. Tap Copy code or Invite and paste the text in a message to your friend. Your friend enters your code under Add friend; once the request is accepted you're friends. New players can enter an invite code in their first week and get a reward. Friends can send each other small gifts, like and visit islands and send preset messages. You can always remove or block someone.
My friend request doesn't arrive.
Check that the code is correct (case doesn't matter; watch out for letters versus digits) and that you both have internet. Someone can only add you if you haven't blocked them and they haven't reached the maximum of 100 friends.
Is Hexland really free?
Yes, you can play Hexland for free, without ads.
